EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
YOUR STAY IN NORTH YORKSHIRE

WHAT IS NORTH YORKSHIRE HIDEAWAY’S CANCELLATION POLICY?

All deposits are non-refundable. If you have paid in full and cancel more than six weeks before your arrival date, we will refund the remaining balance minus the deposit. If you need to cancel closer to your stay, we will always try to re-let your booking. If successful, we will refund the balance paid, minus the deposit and any associated costs. Full details can be found in our Terms & Conditions.

CAN I BRING MY DOG,

OR OTHER PET/S?

No, pets are not permitted in our properties. Due to our location in the North Yorkshire countryside, surrounded by livestock fields and native wildlife, this policy helps protect both visiting animals and the natural environment. If you are travelling with a registered assistance dog, please contact us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED TO STAY AT NORTH YORKSHIRE HIDEAWAYS?

The South Range is our largest property and is perfectly equipped to sleep 4 adults and 2 children (of any age!). The children’s mezzanine bedroom is reached via the family bedroom, sharing the same ensuite. If you have any special requests (cot/high chair/stair gates etc), please let us know at the time of booking or as early as possible before your stay. Please note that there is an additional charge per child. By booking with North Yorkshire Hideaways you agree to take particular care when children are around animals, fire, equipment and water (specifically, the hot tub, the outdoor bathtubs, the pond at the entrance to the estate and the pond in the Valley Field). Children are natural explorers and we encourage them to connect with nature, however guests must accept responsibility for the safety of their children at all times whilst visiting. The A-Frame Cabins are of limited size and therefore do not have the required space for more than 2 adults. Children, infants and babies are not permitted in the A-Frame Cabins.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOUSE RULES?

To ensure a peaceful stay for all guests: - No smoking or vaping inside - No parties or events - No pets - No additional guests beyond your booking - No unauthorised commercial use or photoshoots, this includes creating content for social media - We also ask guests to respect the surrounding countryside, wildlife, and neighbouring properties.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is ample parking on-site. If you are staying in the A-Frame cabins, once you have unloaded your luggage from your vehicles we ask that you park your car in the general car park. The South Range has car parking space nearby with enough parking for two cars with a car charging port.

ARE YOUR STAYS SELF-CATERED?

Yes, all of our accommodation is self-catered, giving you the flexibility to enjoy your stay at your own pace. A welcome selection of essentials is provided on arrival, and guests also have the option to order a Made In Oldstead meal kit, with an exclusive West Cawthorne discount available

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN | CHECK-OUT?

DO THE A-FRAME CABINS HAVE ELECTRICITY?

Yes, all of our cabins and barns are fully equipped with electricity and heating to ensure a comfortable stay year-round.

IS THERE WIFI?

Yes, WiFi is available across all of our properties. Due to our rural North Yorkshire setting, speeds may vary, and many guests choose to embrace the slower pace and use their stay as an opportunity to properly switch off.

DO YOU PROVIDE AN IRON?

Yes, an iron and ironing board are available on request, and can be arranged for you at any point during your stay.

CAN I USE WEST CAWTHORNE
AS A SHOOT LOCATION?

Our properties are available for selected photoshoots and filming projects. Please note that any unauthorised commercial photography or filming is not permitted and will be charged at the full day rate, in line with our Terms & Conditions.

DOES ONE A-FRAME CABIN HAVE A BETTER VIEW?

Both private cabins in the North Yorkshire countryside share the same uninterrupted views, with stunning sunset skies visible from each cabin every evening.
