IN THE HEART OF NORTH YORKSHIRE

Nestled on top of a hill with stunning, uninterrupted views of the Vale of Pickering and beyond, West Cawthorne is home to a collection of beautifully restored historic barns and two unique A-Frame Cabins, hand built here on site.

Entirely surrounded by nature with rolling fields as far as the eye can see, West Cawthorne is home to an abundance of wildlife that will no doubt make an appearance during your stay. You can wake up to stunning views, sip your morning coffee as you watch the deer stroll by or take a nice, long bath outside as the sun goes down. It is the perfect place to escape, unwind and enjoy.

THE

A-FRAME CABINS

Handcrafted here on site, the two A-Frame cabins offer a truly luxurious and unique stay in nature.

They are perfectly situated in their own wildflower meadow and have a simple, pared back aesthetic which allows the expansive glass to frame the uninterrupted views of the North Yorkshire countryside. All to be enjoyed from the comfort of the king size mezzanine bed. You’ll never want to leave.

As night falls the big open skies are just as breathtaking and the beautiful dark sky panorama can be fully enjoyed from the A-Frame Cabin's deck. Enjoy watching the abundance of shooting stars from the hot sunken bath with a large glass of wine.

The A-Frame cabins were voted as one of the top 25 cabin & hut stays in The Times 2023.

WE FOUND A FARM

AND MADE IT HOME

Set in 26 acres of rural North Yorkshire, West Cawthorne Farm dates back to the mid 1800’s. A key working farm for many years for one of the local estates, the grounds included a working farm, walled garden, farmhouse and both a blacksmith and joiners cottage, which all remain (in some form!) to this day.

Boasting incredible, far-reaching views across the Vale of Pickering, West Cawthorne is perfectly located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Walking trails & cycle routes of all abilities can be easily reached.

West Cawthorne is now home to the Vermont family, who undertook the challenge of restoring it all to its former glory. They now live in the farmhouse and manage the estate day-to-day.
